FAQs
How long will it be until my order is dispatched?
Every item is handmade to order and are not kept in stock. Because of this they can take a little more time to make. This is usually around 2 weeks but for the most up to date lead times please see the banner at the top of the homepage.
Will my items look exactly like the photos shown?
As our items are cut and sewn by hand the pattern placement will be slightly different on each item. This is what makes each piece individually unique and is part of the beauty of handmade clothing - nobody will have something exactly the same!
How do I care for my handmade clothing?
Please follow these directions to keep your clothing looking their best:
• Wash at 30c
• Wash with similar colours
• Do not bleach
• Do not tumble dry
• Warm iron
• Open the poppers gently
What fabric will my items be made from?
All of the fabrics I use are cotton jersey (95% cotton 5% elastane) which is a soft, breathable fabric. The inks used to dye the fabrics are Oeko-Tex certified.
How can I best recycle my packaging?
At Butterflies and Beetles eco friendly packaging is important to us and all of your orders are posted in fully recyclable packaging. The paper stickers, tissue paper, packing box and business cards can go in with your cardboard recycling, just remember to remove the small piece of tape used to secure the box for transit.
What size should I order?
A size chart is provided to ensure you are able to order the best size, if you are unsure about anything please feel free to pop me a message as I am happy to advise on this. The great thing about handmade clothing means that small adjustments such as an extra inch in the leg length or a longer length body on a t-shirt can be made. If this is something that you require please contact me to discuss.
How do you choose the designs?
All of our fabric designs are unisex, as is the fit of our clothing. The fabric designs themselves have either been purchased from other British designers, or digitally drawn by me! I only stock designs that I love, the brighter and more colourful the better.
